We encourage you to also consult a map for more complete directions. Be wary of GPS directions as they often use inappropriate roads in this area. GPS Coordinates for the main office are Latitude: 38.912232 and Longitude: -79.77042.

From Washington, DC Area: Take Interstate 66 West to Interstate 81.  Merge South on to Interstate 81.  Take exit 296 (US Route 55 West / Wardensville, WV).  Follow US Route 55 through Moorefield and Petersburg, West Virginia to Seneca Rocks.  At Seneca Rocks, make a right where US Route 55 will merge with US Route 33. Continue on US 33/55 into Harman, make a left at the “Y”.  Continue approximately 16 miles until the two-lane road becomes a four-lane highway. Make a right at the Stuart Recreation Park Exit. From Pittsburgh, PA Area:  Take Interstate 79 South to exit 99 at Weston, WV.  Take 33 East to Elkins.  Take the Elkins exit, make a right at the end of the ramp.  Follow US 33 E through town by proceeding to the 1st stop light and make a left (Walgreens).  Continue through town to the 3rd stop light and make a left (McDonalds / Kroger).  See above directions.

Location

The Cheat River Lodge is located on Old Route 33 approximately 5 miles East of Elkins, West Virginia.  From the 4-lane, take the Stuart Recreation Park exit. Proceed 1 ½ mile to the green bridge, but do not cross.  Turn right just before the bridge.  

Specific directions to each cabin will be provided at check-in.
