Our Rating Snowshoe is definitely the most challenging. However, tickets are  pricy and you will stand in line a lot. By far our favorite. The slopes are generally less challenging than Snowshoe, but the price and few lines are worth it.  An excellent choice for the family day at the slopes.  Offers lots of moderate skiing that is good for all and usually no lift lines.

Our recommendation:  After a long cozy night at your cabin, sleep in and head to Timberline mid to late morning.  Ski the afternoon or twilight pass (afternoon and night skiing, usually 1 PM to 9 PM).  This is the best buy you'll get with the least crowds.  Head back to the Lodge for an exquisite dinner at the Inn and a later dip in the hot tub. This will give you a good day of skiing........ and relaxing.  After all, isn't that really what you want!
